Looking for some help, my late father never knew his father or even where he was from as he was adopted so he did a DNA test on Ancestry and 23&me and has discovered his ancestry is in Punjab and Afghanistan, just after he passed away he got a close DNA match, 2nd cousin, I have tried to message this person but he has not yet answered, my question is as I am not personally of Pakistani or Afghan heritage (I was adopted by my father) I do not quite know how to approach this man, I do not want to offend him so could you tell me the best way to write to him, Thank you

Just explain the situation or try to find someone pakistani who can translate if needed. Tell them about your father
